Azado x SHB
For the launch of its "Tailor Made" line, azado came up with something very special and launched a Luxury Upcycling Cooperation with Secondhandbags (SHB), THE Swiss online platform for luxury second-hand products.
55k for a grill? A 1989 Louis Vuitton Keepall size 55 was used as the basis for the brand-new azado "55k" Tailor Made. By combining it with an azado "El Maestro" grill, the travel bag was given a new lease of life and now shines in luxurious splendor as the "55K" Tailor Made azado.
The typical canvas of the LV bag was processed with millimeter precision to refine the hose, handles and storage plate of the grill with a robust, hand-sewn cover. An original, coated LV thread was used for the sewing, which supports the robustness and ensures an authentic look. The Louis Vuitton manufacturer code adorns the storage plate and continues to provide information about the origin and manufacturing date of the underlying bag. The original luggage tag of the bag was allowed to retain its shape and hovers playfully above everything.
The black look of certain chrome steel elements (Black-Inox process) is reminiscent of the "Ur-azado", the very first prototype, which was designed and built with great passion in 2010, thus also experiencing a revival.
For the design and production, azado collaborated with Sattlerei Zollet, who executed the handiwork with the utmost perfection.
