Der Eidgenosse – “El Confederado” – new Limited Edition 1291

As many Swiss citizens know, the best "Schwingers" (Swiss wrestlers) compete at wrestling festivals. A major goal of these festivals was to strengthen Swiss national consciousness, which has certainly been achieved so far. Swiss wrestling is becoming increasingly established and is now perceived very intensely. This weekend, Switzerland celebrates the Eidgenössisches Schwingfest (Federal Wrestling and Alpine Games Festival) in Pratteln. To coincide with this year's festival, azado is presenting the new "der Eidgenosse - El Confederado" grill. This strictly limited grill aims to capture and continue the long-standing Swiss tradition. The azado grill "El Confederado" features the traditional leather strap of a bull ("Muni") embroidered on the wooden shelf. The edges are adorned with genuine silver ornaments. The azado grill is also decorated on the windbreak with the famous Matterhorn Alpine skyline. All these details of Swiss craftsmanship make your grill unique.

For the design and production, azado collaborated with the family business ETRO AG, which has been a professional in the world of folklore for generations.

“El Confederado” is produced in an edition of only 12 pieces worldwide. Why exactly 12 pieces? The number comes from the year 1291. This is because the Federal Charter of 1291 is considered the oldest constitutional document and founding charter of the Swiss Confederation. The limited grills are numbered from 1 to 12 and will be personalized with the buyers' names. The cost of the 113 kg "Muni" grill, adorned with Swiss tradition, is CHF 12,910.- and is available in our online shop.

Instead of one kilogram of beef, which is considered standard for azado’s Premium-delivery, each of the 12 owners will receive a one-year subscription for Swiss meat with their grill.

Number 1 has already been assigned and will be awarded to the Schwingerkönig (Wrestling King) of this year's Eidgenössisches Schwingfest.
