azado grilled at the Ascona Polo Cup 2021
Three fantastic polo days full of highlights are behind us. From September 3rd to 5th, 2021, the eleventh Ascona Polo Cup took place against an atmospheric backdrop. Six teams with over 80 horses challenged each other in a spectacular event. azado and the SEVEN SEA LOUNGE team provided first-class catering.
After the opening games on Friday afternoon, the exclusive Players Party at SEVEN SEA LOUNGE followed in the evening. The polo players were spoiled with delicacies by the team there. Among other things in use: an El Rey Grill from azado. For once, we left the field - or rather, the grill - to our local colleagues and allowed ourselves to be pampered.
But already on Saturday, the azado team was firing up the grills again on the polo grounds. For the aperitif, local Wagyu sirloin was conjured up on the grill. Classically served with what is probably the best Chimichurri sauce in the world. A successful warm-up for the guests and players for the upcoming gala dinner.

On Sunday morning, the exciting final games took place. Horse and rider raced across the disused Ascona airfield, which for three days had been transformed into an attractive polo setting. This year, the local Seven Group team won the coveted challenge cup. Congratulations!

Once again, the prestigious event in Ascona was a good mix of fascinating polo, good food, exuberant parties, and networking. Not to forget the charity, which this year again raised a five-figure sum for the Styger Foundation for Children. This foundation supports needy children in Switzerland to give them a fair chance at a good life. Fortunately, azado was also able to contribute by sponsoring an El Maestro Grill.
The proceeds from the auction of the azado el Maestro benefit needy children in Switzerland
